Tailoring and slim tops from the capital

RADU-FLORIN FURDUI works from Piața Gării de Nord in Bucharest, a few streets from the interwar facades of Calea Victoriei and a short walk from a station that never quite closes. The collection is built in two halves: four jackets cut loose enough to close over a knit, and four close-cut tops that sit underneath without bulk at the shoulder. A double-breasted shell, a zip-front with button detail and a stand collar share the rail with ruched turtlenecks and a floral lace V-neck, held in off-white, oxblood and bronze. It is eight pieces rather than thirty because a layer that works all winter does not need replacing in October.

A shoulder is the whole jacket

A jacket is decided at the shoulder before the fabric is cut. Every shell is padded lightly, pressed open at the seam and sleeved by hand so the arm hangs forward when you reach for something, then checked again once the lining is set in. Button stands are worked in a double gauge and opened and closed fifty times, because a front that waves after a month cannot be corrected by the fit. The tops follow the same discipline at the neckline: lace is stitched flat, rib is measured for recovery and every sleeve is checked that it returns to its length after washing. Anything that fails goes back to the table, not onto the site.

Sizing, delivery and returns

Orders leave Bucharest within one to two business days and reach European Union addresses in three to six days. Returns are open for fourteen days from delivery, free inside the EU, with refunds issued within fourteen days of approval. If you cannot decide between two jacket sizes, send your bust and shoulder measurements and we will compare them with the production sample before you buy rather than after. Every message is answered by the person who packed the order, usually within one business day.
